The magnificent Pavilion and Green was opened in May 1928 as a Sports Pavilion for the use of the Staff and Friends of The Sun Works and financed by The Overseas Trading Corporation, owners of the Sun Works. The Green, which was professional laid in 1926, all by hand, is maintained by the members, and is still rated as one of the best on the Island.

The whole O.T.C. site was purchased by the States of Jersey in 1992 and The Pavilion, of which The Club is very proud, is now a listed building.

The Sun is a very active mixed Lawn Bowls Club with a total Membership of 280. The members enjoy a very good bowling and social life. Inter club, and inter Island and Club tournaments, are arranged on most Sundays, and cater for members of all ages and ability, in some cases three generations of the same family playing together as a team, always finishing with afternoon tea in the Pavilion.

The end of the season is celebrated playing for The Tom Kidd Trophy which is followed by a meal with wine, open to all members, and paid for by the Tom Kidd Legacy.

In the closed season the Club also organizes bowls holidays to destinations all around the world, Canada, New Zealand, The U.S.A., and Europe.

Full Membership:- £80 per annum including affiliation to Bowls Jersey.

Social Membership:- £15 per annum.

Junior Membership:- £1.

Green fees for visiting Bowlers £ 3 per session. Bowls available f.o.c.

Green fees for visiting teams £12 per rink
